In case you’ve not yet heard, Pinterest -- pronounced like “interest” but with a p -- is an online visioning / dreaming / planning board for your life, home design and decor. Of course, it's more or less than that, but that’s how I see it. To be fair, the official site positions Pinterest as a “Virtual Pinboard” that allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web, from planning a wedding to decorating homes to organizing recipes. Brilliant, no? We think so! Here are 3 ways to use Pinterest and Gringo Furniture to be inspired:
We are excited to be active on Pinterest. It’s fun for us and we hope it will be really fun (and helpful) to you. As some of you know from our about page, one of the ways we encourage you to collaborate with us in furnishing your Mexican homes is to send us photos, ideas, examples. Well, Pinterest is a perfect way to do it! The site allows you to create many visual boards. If you are building a home in Mexico or purchasing a condo, you might create boards such as “Mexico living room furniture,” “Mexican outdoor furniture for our new home,” “Mexico Hacienda Furniture we like”. Then you just add images to your board, and let us know. Just like that, we will be able to gather your wish list, your furniture preferences and your vision for your Mexican home.
From now on, whenever you click on our furniture pieces on this site, you will see a “Pin it” button next to the product’s name. If you click the button, you have the option to immediately add the image of that kitchen island, outdoor lounger, iron chandelier or gorgeous Mexican armoire to your Pinterest boards. This is a great way to remember the Gringo furniture pieces you like and to share our furniture with others. Most importantly, it is also a great way to begin to build your Mexican dream home virtually before you actually build it in Mexico, Canada or the States.
We’ve created a number of Pinterest furniture boards, as well as general inspiring boards for us. Some of our boards are: “Cool Outdoor Furniture,” “Cottage Furniture we Love” and “Great Places in Mexico.” Two of my particular favorites are “Beautiful People Mexico” and “Tiffany Blue.” As we add furniture products to our site, we will share them with you and others on Pinterest and add them to our boards. So, please do follow us on Pinterest. It’s a lovely, visual, vibrant way for us all to stay in touch. Happy pinning!
